Alyssa Farah Griffin was noticeably missing from this morning’s episode of The View. But where was she? When will she be back? Luckily, we have you covered on everything you need to know.

Since Ana Navarro wasn’t around to fill in, Griffin’s absence was likely a last-minute happening. When Whoopi Goldberg settled into her chair next to Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar, she offered an explanation on Griffin’s whereabouts.

“Well, hello, hello, and welcome to The View, y’all,” she said, as audience members called out their love for the hosts. “Y’all are really ready, aren’t you? You’re really ready for the show today.”

She continued, “Alyssa is not here today. She’s out. She’ll be back. She’ll be back probably tomorrow. She’s not feeling well.”

While Griffin wasn’t present for any of the live Hot Topics segments this morning, she did end up making an appearance later on in the episode during the panel’s pre-taped interview with EGOT winner John Legend, who stopped by to promote Black Love Letters — which is the latest book to be released from his publishing company, Get Lifted Books.

It’s not often that Griffin calls out from work. In fact, the last time she was missing from an episode of The View was in March 2023 after she had tested positive for COVID-19.

“Unfortunately Alyssa is not with us again because she’s got Covid,” Goldberg told the audience at the time. “Listen, we keep telling people it’s not gone. It is still out there. So do pay attention, ’cause it pops up and wants to give you a kiss and stuff.”
