Kevin Bacon has gotta cut loose (and cut a rug) because the SAG-AFTRA strike is over!

The Footloose star took to X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday night (Nov. 9) to share a video of him busting a move to the 1984 film’s hit title song by Kenny Loggins.

The video, captioned, “Strike over! @sagaftra,” appears to be filmed in a barn, making it quite fitting as a recreation of the film’s iconic scene in which Bacon’s Ren McCormack dances around an abandoned warehouse, per TODAY.com.

The actors’ union, which has been on strike since July 14, reached a tentative deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on Wednesday (Nov. 8), and announced the official end of the strike to be Thursday (Nov. 9) at 12:01 a.m, per Variety.

According to the outlet, the deal involves most minimums increasing by 7% and a “streaming participation bonus,” as well as AI protections, which are the first of their kind.

In an X post shared on Wednesday night, SAG-AFTRA wrote, “We did it! Our historic TV/Theatrical/Strike is over as of 12:01 a.m.”

They continued, “After 118 days on strike, we are set to change the future of our industry with a transformative contract that includes gains for every category of SAG-AFTRA member who works his contract.”

Bacon wasn’t the only celeb with a priceless reaction to the strike’s end. The Iron Claw stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson were promoting their upcoming film under an interim agreement on the red carpet when the news broke. Efron told Deadline he was “so happy we were all able to come to an agreement.”

“Let’s get back to work. Let’s go,” he said to the outlet. “Congrats, everybody — we did it.”

White called the news “amazing” while speaking to Entertainment Tonight, while Dickinson almost couldn’t believe it, claiming that he thought the reporters were “joking.”

Footloose is streaming on Max. Watch the video of Bacon above.
