Saturday Night Live co-stars Bowen Yang and Ben MarshallJohn Higgins, and Martin Herlihy from the comedy troupe Please Don’t Destroy reunite in an exclusive clip from the upcoming Peacock movie Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain.

Hilarity ensues as Yang’s character, a hypocritical cult leader named Deetch Nordwind, mistakes the trio for “three gorgeous girls” in the clip.

Foggy Mountain follows childhood friends Ben, Martin, and John, as they journey into the unknown in search of treasure. The movie is written by Marshall, Higgins, and Herlihy, who also executive produce, and is directed by Paul Briganti.

Meg Stalter, John Goodman, Gaten Matarazzo, and Conan O’Brien also star.

The clip, which can be viewed above, shows the trio meeting Deetch. Surrounded by a group of submissive people in purple robes, Deetch, wearing an oversized papier-mâché head, asks the three, “How dare you interrupt our sacred deaths? How dare you? Miles away from civilization, o cell phone service, no way to call for help. Now tell me, why am I joined today by you three gorgeous girls?”

The trio look confused before Ben gestures towards themselves, “Oh, us?” They deny the comment, “No, no, no, no, we’re guys.” Deetch quickly corrects himself, “Sorry, it’s a little hard to see out of my new, awesome ceremonial head!”

He continues to ask, “Regardless, you’ve stumbled upon our home. And it begs the question, why are we joined today by five handsome Black men?” Once again, the three correct him. “We’re not Black.”

Deetch tries one again, “Oh, sorry. I can’t fucking see or hear in this thing. Jesus. So, what’s a Chinese family like…” When Ben, Martin, and John correct him again, he begins to move closer while stumbling. “Just take the fucking head off,” John says.

“This is the most hot I’ve felt in my whole life,” Deetch complains as he removes the head. “Trisha, we talked about holes!” A cult member rushes to take the object out of Deetch’s hands as the trio stare in suspense.

What happens next? Are Ben, Martin, and John in danger? Will Trisha cut appropriate holes in Deetch’s ceremonial head? With a production team that stacked, there are plenty of more laughs guaranteed! Tune in on November 17, 2023 when the buddy comedy premieres on Peacock.
