Matt LeBlanc paid tribute to his Friends co-star Matthew Perry — who tragically died at age 54 on Oct. 28 — in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Tuesday, per Variety. The post featured four photos selected from the two star’s numerous scenes filmed together amid the NBC sitcom’s of 10-season run, and a picture of the cast embracing in a group hug on set.

“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye,” he began. “The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend.”

He continued, “I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love.”

In the witty and comedic spirit of Perry, LeBlanc concluded his post, “And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”

His five co-stars were spotted at a funeral service held on Nov. 3, prior to which they issued a joint statement to People. The statement reads as follows:

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” the statement reads. “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

The actor’s life and tremendous career has been mourned by many of his co-stars and friends, including Hank Azaria, who shared that Perry was his “first friend” in Los Angeles and even took him to his first AA meeting.

Perry’s legacy is also being honored through the Matthew Perry Foundation, which was launched on Nov. 3 to help those suffering from addiction.
