It’s been more than four decades since The Dukes of Hazzard first came on the air — but it sounds like it could soon return. According to Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke in the hit action comedy series, she may team up with her former castmates again.

Shortly after reuniting with John Schneider and Tom Wopat at the 2023 Gallatin Comic Con in Tennessee, Bach opened up to Fox News Digital about a potential reboot of The Dukes of Hazzard.

“As far as a Dukes reunion, anything is possible,” the actress told the outlet, before praising Schneider, who played Bo Duke, and Wopat, who played Luke Duke, as not only her onscreen cousins but as her real-life “family.”

She said, “We have so much history and know everything about each other. Well, pretty much everything. The secret to our long friendship is caring. We have seen each other through the good times and sad times. … I do count on my TV cousins, and I think they know they can always count on me.”

Schneider further reflected on catching up with his castmates while chatting with Fox News Digital.

“It was so great reconnecting with my castmates from The Dukes of Hazzard. I don’t know how to explain it, but we have been closer than Bo, Luke and Daisy since the moment we met,” he said. “Through the best, worst and most challenging times of my life, Tom and Catherine have always been there. Forty-something years later, we could not be better friends.”

The Dukes of Hazzard ran for seven seasons from 1979 to 1985. The show followed cousins Bo and Luke Duke, who, along with their Dodge Charger called the General Lee, worked to evade their nemeses — corrupt town politician Boss Hogg and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane.

In recent years, the show has come under fire for its depiction of the south and its glorification of the confederate flag, which is displayed prominently on the General Lee Race Car. At the height of the George Floyd protests in 2020, Vulture reported that Amazon was considering pulling The Dukes of Hazzard from FreeVee, formerly known as IMDb TV.
