Jimmy Kimmel had some thoughts on Gerry Turner‘s proposal following Thursday night’s (Nov. 30) Golden Bachelor finale.

The late night host dove right into the ending of the hit ABC reality spin-off while delivering his Jimmy Kimmel Live monologue last night, per The Wrap, and he took shots right at franchise star Turner.

“I don’t know if you know this, but it’s Golden Bachelor night here on ABC. The season finale of How Grampa Got His Groove Back,” Kimmel joked. “After a long and emotional journey, Bachelor Gary or Gerry or Jerry or whatever the hell his name is, finally chose the woman he’ll share the rest of his reverse mortgage with.”

Joking that Turner “finally found the Centrum to his Silver,” Kimmel showed a clip of Turner’s proposal to Theresa Nist — who bested runner-up Leslie Fhima — which featured a fake-out. Turner told Nist that she’s “not the right person for [him] to live with,” and held a prolonged pause before saying that she’s “the person [he] can’t live without.”

Once the clip ended, Kimmel chimed in, “Now, hold on a minute. Because I met this guy Gerry, he seemed like a nice, normal man. But anyone who can do that? Anybody who can Ryan Seacrest a moment like that — like the one where you tell the woman that you love her — is a psychopath.”

He continued, “How can you ever trust that person again? He looked right in her eyes and basically told her she was gonna die alone. And went, ‘Oh no, just kidding.’”

Deeming his move “sick” and even going so far as to describe the proposal as “the mark of a sick individual,” Kimmel noted that it must not have bothered Nist, as she and the senior stud are tying the knot on live TV on Jan. 4.

Kimmel got in one final jab when he told viewers that the couple is “registered at Crematorium & Barrel.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC. The The Golden Bachelor finale is now streaming on Hulu. And for those catching up on all things Golden Bachelor, be sure to read all of Decider’s Golden Bachelor coverage.
