If comedy didn’t work out for Sebastian Maniscalco, Drew Barrymore knew just the industry that would embrace his original headshot. On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the beloved talk show host told the actor that his 8×10 would stand out if he was also looking to become a porn star.

It all started while Maniscalco reflected on turning 50 this year — and how people these days are getting “greedy” with life expectancy.

“I turned 50 this year and I started to think, ‘OK. I got what? 25 years left? If that. Maybe 30?'” he said. “There’s a lot of pressure to live to 153 years old and I feel like if you’re not in an ice bath or a stream room, you’re failing.”

According to the comedian, his age is already starting to take its toll on his body. He explained to Barrymore that he was up until 3 a.m. the night before with sciatica pain “ripping down” his right leg. Plus, he recently learned that he has been sleeping wrong his entire life, which has made it so he “can’t feel” his shoulders anymore.

In an effort to turn the conversation around, Barrymore praised the actor before bringing up a time in his life when there were far fewer aches and pains.

“I have to say: I don’t think you’ve ever looked better. You’re, like, virile fantastic. I do hope you live forever because everybody needs you on this planet,” she said. “However, Marina, our producer, showed me your first 8×10.”

The star proceeded to present Maniscalco’s first headshot, in which he’s standing in front of a corn field with a brooding expression and an unbuttoned shirt showing off his ripped body.

“This was actually off the side of a freeway in Chicago where this photographer took me and said, ‘We’re gonna set you up with this —,’ I don’t know. There’s like corn stalks behind me,” he said, before adding, “It wasn’t 8×10. It was 8.5×11. So I could stand out in the pile.”

He sure did stand out — at least, he did to Barrymore.

“Oh, you’re standing out in that picture,” she said. “If you’re going into the comedy business or the porn industry, that 8×10 works either way.”
