Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 came to an end in a three-hour finale on Thursday, December 7. But some of its most beloved couples are still going strong to this day.

Rather than have contestant sit with franchise host Jesse Palmer for a live After The Final Rose special, Bachelor in Paradise played a fun “Where are they now?” montage for fans at the end of the episode, post-breakups, makeups, and engagements.

So which Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 couples are still together? Who got engaged, and stayed engaged? And who went their separate ways in (or after!) the finale?

Here’s everything we know about which Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 couples are still together.

(Consider this your official Season 9 finale SPOILER warning.)

  • Are Tanner And Jess Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

As noted in Decider’s Season 9 finale recap, after longtime Paradise couple Blake and Jess ended things ahead of the finale, Blake self-eliminated, and Jess stayed on the beach in hopes of getting to know Tanner. The two had some speedy small talk in the finale, but ultimately Jess told him she hadn’t been herself since Blake left and didn’t think it was fair to try to start a relationship. She self-eliminated, and Tanner followed. Later on, the montage confirmed Jess is currently single.

  • Are Mercedes And Jordan Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

That left the only other uncoupled contestants: Mercedes and Jordan. As we explained in our recap, after longtime Paradise couple Mercedes and Tyler called things off and he self-eliminated ahead of the finale, Mercedes tried to find a spark with Rachel Recchia’s ex Jordan. Once Jess and Tanner bounced, Mercedes told Jordan she didn’t think anything was “romantically there” between them, and the two also self-eliminated.

  • Are Peter And Sam Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

Pilot Peter was ready to go all in on Sam from Australia, but after he expressed a desire to move on to Fantasy Suites she said it “didn’t feel right to continue” the relationship and the two left the beach separately. Peter left crying about how he was tired of attending friends’ weddings and wanted to attend his own.

  • Are Michael And Olivia Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

Similarly, Olivia was ready to go all in on Michael. But after she poured her heart out he told her he was “a realist” who didn’t want to give her any false hope and felt their lives were in very different places. They also left the beach separately. Have no fear! Love WAS found this season…

  • Are Kylee And Aven Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

Kylee and Aven had a rough go on proposal day. Both contestants were initially unwilling to compromise, but when Aven asked, “If we don’t get engaged, are we done?” Kylee said, “I think at the end of the day I can’t see myself walking away from you.” She agreed to leave the beach with Aven without a ring on her finger and he assured her, “We’re gonna be fine… We will get to that point very soon.” Per Bachelor in Paradise‘s montage: “Kylee’s patience paid off, and she and Aven have blossomed as a couple. It’s nothing but 🔥 emoji from here on out.”

Aw, a happy ending — or so we thought! Just days after the Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 finale aired, Kylee and Aven called it quits, with Kylee citing “multiple infidelities” as the cause of their breakup.

“Following our relationship announcement yesterday, I want to thank my God he did not allow me to live another day in the dark. In the last 24 hours I have been grasping with the fact that one of the most important relationships in my life has dissolved due to multiple infidelities. This is not just a show but my real life and for the foreseeable future I will be in a time of healing and trying to put the puzzle pieces of my life back together,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.

Following her statement, Aven posted an apology to his own account, writing, “After careful thought and consideration into writing this I want to first and foremost apologize to Kylee, my family and my friends for my actions. I have made major mistakes in the relationship and hurt someone who was very close to me. At this time, I am in an extremely extremely low place trying to work on myself. I am doing my best to find healing, find myself and be a better person. Please have grace and respect for Kylee and her family through this difficult time. Thank you.” Since then, Aven has deleted his Instagram account.

  • Are Aaron And Eliza Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

Aaron and Eliza moved on to overnight dates and said “I love you” ahead of proposal day, but as Eliza was walking up to the platform she was nervous, hesitant, and feeling weird that her family didn’t know what was happening. When she reached Aaron, he told her he spoke to her mom for 15 minutes on the phone, which meant the world to her. Wearing his famous pink slippers, he (once again) proudly recited her favorite Paradise breakfast food, said her full name, and proposed. She accepted a giant Neil Lane ring and said, “It’s giving FIANCÉ!” and all seemed well. However, in an unexpected twist, Paradise informed viewers that “Aaron and Eliza’s engagement has hit some speed bumps since they left the beach. They are actively working on their relationship and trying to figure things out.”

After Bachelor Nation learned about Kylee and Aven’s breakup, Aaron and Eliza also gave an update on their relationship status post-Paradise, and folks, get ready for more heartbreak. On Monday, December 11, Aaron shared an Instagram Story that read, “I want to thank our family, friends and Bachelor Nation for all their support not just through the Paradise journey but after as well. Tricky emotions watching it all unfold but unfortunately me and @elizaisichei’s love story has come to an end. We’re leading our amicable split with nothing but positivity and mutual respect for one another. Thank you all 🖤.” Eliza has yet to publicly comment on the breakup. But buckle up, because Paradise Season 9 has one more blow headed your way.

  • Are Kat and John Henry Still Together After Bachelor in Paradise?

After their Fantasy Suite date, John Henry admitted that his gut was telling him it was too soon to propose, but when Kat arrived on the platform, he told her he decided to follow his heart for once and popped the question. Against all Bachelor Nation predictions, Kat and John Henry got engaged, and they might be the happiest couple to emerge from Season 9. In one of Paradise‘s biggest surprises ever, the montage reported: “Kat and John Henry remain happily engaged. They are moving to San Diego and planning a happy life together.”

Post-finale, it seemed like Kat and John Henry were perhaps the sole Paradise couple who could stay the course, but after Kylee and Aven called it quits, they, too, announced their split. RIP, Paradise Season 9. You sucked!

In a join Instagram post on Monday, December 11, the two wrote, “With mutual love and respect, Kat and I have recently decided to part ways. Our relationship has been filled with wonderful memories and growth, something we looked forward to sharing with you. While our paths are taking different directions due to our career goals not aligning, we are grateful for the love and support we’ve received from our family, friends, and Bachelor Nation. While this decision wasn’t easy, we believe it’s the right step for both of us as individuals. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your continued support and respect for our privacy.”

Back in October, Decider made the case for canceling Bachelor in Paradise, and after seeing the week of Season 9 breakups, we’ve never felt stronger about our stance. Give the people what they really want: The Golden Bachelorette.
