From Paradise bride Mari Pepin and groom Kenny Braasch to his best man Blake Moynes, Bachelor in Paradise‘s Season 9 finale brought back several familiar faces from Bachelor Nation. But the most special guest at the first-ever Paradise wedding was none other than Dr. Kelly Tenbrink, aka the “poo baby” doctor.

Viewers who weren’t paying super close attention to the Paradise Season 7 contestant’s romantic wedding ceremony may have missed Dr. T, the on-call ER physician who informed Season 9 contestant Sam Jeffries she’d potentially have to deliver “a poo baby” after nine days without a bowel movement. But not me!

I instantly clocked the constipation expert, who quite possibly saved Sam’s life by advising her to go home early. The Great Poodini — seated among several Playa Escondita chefs and Coco the dog — was dressed to impress with a stethoscope around his neck.

After going on television and talking about “poo babies,” Dr. T earned that invite to the finale nuptials. He’s a Paradise legend, and the callback to the major role he played earlier in Season 9 was a hilarious touch — I only wish the show made a bigger deal about his attendance at the wedding.

Sure, the finale was already a whopping three hours long. But Dr. Poo Baby not only helped Sam’s bowels, he also helped carry Episode 3 of this season on his back. His return deserved more fanfare, and quite frankly, Paradise‘s decision to barely show him on screen for seconds was…crappy!

In the finale screener, at least, he didn’t even receive his “Guest Starring” intro card, which delighted fans in the past. A real missed opportunity, Paradise.

There may never be another poo baby emergency on Bachelor in Poo-radise— I mean, Paradise, but here’s hoping the franchise hasn’t seen the last of Dr. Kelly.
