Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes has officially stepped back into the spotlight with a new podcast and a new look.

The former actress recently released the first episode of her new podcast, titled Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast, which she is co-hosting with her friend. Bynes first announced the project in November, saying that she and Sieminski hoped to “take it mainstream and interview celebrities and artists” down the line.

The first episode, which premiered Dec. 9, featured Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Dahlia Moth. Though the podcast is about the entertainment industry, Bynes did not discuss her time working as an actress and child star. She also didn’t address the difficult time she’s had since she stopped acting in 2010, which included being placed in a 72-hour psychiatric hold earlier this year and a since-terminated conservatorship.

But she did indirectly address the face tattoo she got in 2019 that shocked fans everywhere. “Nobody cares anymore if people have face tattoos. It shouldn’t matter,” she said, per The Daily Mail.

Bynes thanked her supporters for tuning in to the first episode of the podcast in another video shared to her Instagram Stories.

“I had the best time filming it, it was so much fun. I also want to thank Dahlia Moth for being an amazing first guest on the show,” she said. She added that they plan to record the next episode in two weeks, though she did not share who the next guest will be.

This is the first time Bynes has officially stepped back into the spotlight after she stopped acting well over a decade ago.

Earlier this year, she was expected to attend 90s Con along with the rest of the All That cast, but she did not make it for unknown reasons. A source close to the situation claimed at the time that she had been placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold.

The actress previously filed to end her conservatorship in 2022 after nine years, claiming she “has the capacity to give informed consent to any form of medical treatment” and “protection from the court is no longer necessary,” per E! News.

Bynes shared her own statement after her conservatorship was successfully terminated, saying, “Words can’t even describe how I feel. Wonderful news.”
