Hulu Cancels Plans For Reality Series About Sean “Diddy” Combs As The Rapper Faces Horrifying Allegations Of Sexual Abuse And Assault

Hulu canceled the reality series it was reportedly developing based on Sean “Diddy” Combs and his family as the rapper continues to face multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and sex trafficking.

Deadline reports that the reality show was still in the early stages of development with the working title Diddy + 7 under James Corden’s production company when Hulu decided to shutter the show.

According to Page Six, the series was intended to focus on his family’s business ventures across music and acting, in a similar vein to Hulu’s The Kardashians. The outlet reported earlier this year that Combs and his family had already began filming in Los Angeles and Miami.

“It’s going to profile the entire family. They all have businesses — even the kids — and it will feature everyone,” a source told the outlet. “[The show] is all about the dynamic of the family and how Diddy does it all with all the kids. They’re a real family, even all the baby mamas.”

The news comes just weeks after singer Cassandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, alleged in a lawsuit filed on Nov. 16 that he had sexually abused her throughout their decade-long relationship. Combs settled just one day later.

Three other women have since accused him of sexual assault. In one instance, Combs was accused of sex trafficking and participating in the gang rape of a teenager in 2003.

As more sexual assault allegations came out against Combs, he took to social media to issue a public statement denying the accusations.

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,” he wrote. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Hulu is not the first company to cut ties with the former musician. Combs was forced to vacate his role as chairman at Revolt Media. Over 20 brands also stepped away from working with his e-commerce platform, Empower Global.
