Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were both basking in the spirit of the season this morning during Live with Kelly and Mark‘s “Holiday Sweater Party,” but one moment had Consuelos and the audience “laughing all the way.”

Donning a “two-person sweater” — the first of four fun and festive holiday sweaters that they wore throughout the course of the hour-long special — the two led a round of “Stump Mark,” the game in which a lucky viewer at home gets the chance to call in with a true statement and a lie about themselves, and attempt to trick Consuelos in order to win the coveted “Stump Mark” t-shirt and Live mug.

For those unfamiliar with the mechanics of the game, Consuelos tends to be competitive, while Ripa’s jokingly rooting against him so that the contestant secures the special Live memorabilia.

As he introduced and greeted contestant Linda Hart from Eska, Minnesota, Consuelos reiterated the rules of the game.

“You know how this game works,” he began. “You’ve given us two statements — one is true, one is false. I have 60 seconds to decide which is the truth. And if you stump me, it’s gonna be Kelly’s fart.”

He quickly realized his error and corrected himself, swiftly adding, “fault!”

As he and the Live audience burst into laughter over his silly (and stinky) slip-up, Ripa clarified the following: “For the record, it is never Kelly’s fart!”

However, Consuelos ultimately added, “Because she’s stuck to me!”

Slip-up aside, the co-host couple remained holly-jolly as they welcomed guests Elizabeth Banks, Katharine McPhee, and the Radio City Rockettes, while also hosting a holiday sweater competition with $4,000 worth of prizes.
