Cameron Diaz is firing back at rumors that Jamie Foxx was “crazy” and “making everything miserable” on the set of their upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action. According to the actress, who came out of retirement for the flick, it made her “angry” to hear what people were saying about her co-star.

Diaz revealed on Molly SimsLipstick on the Rim podcast that she “had a blast” filming with Foxx, whose mysterious medical emergency put a temporary pause on production back in April.

“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person and he’s so talented, so much fun,” she said, before adding, “I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

The Charlie’s Angels star repeated the rumors that claimed Foxx was “crazy” on set and “making everything miserable and that I was never gonna make another movie again because of him.” However, she maintained that that was not the case.

“Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew,” she gushed. “Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he’s just a professional on every level.”

The actress noted that any “hiccups that happened throughout production” were completely “natural kinds of things that happen” on a movie set.

“But nothing got delayed other than, obviously, toward the end. And that’s something that is not my place to speak about,” she said, referring to Foxx’s undisclosed health scare that landed him in the hospital.

While The Holiday star wouldn’t offer up any further details about Foxx’s medical emergency, she did reveal that he is “thriving” these days — which made her want to speak out against the rumors even more.

“When I see and hear people trying to take another person down like that … [Jamie is] so classy. He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk] … We know the truth,'” she said. “Still, it just really made me angry.”
