Charmed fans received a second helping of intel, as co-stars Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty appeared for a “Part 2” installment on the latter’s Let’s Be Clear podcast, which aired on Monday (Dec. 18).

Doherty shared on the recent episode that fans often ask her why she “quit” the show after its third season, and noted that “the narrative that [she] quit was assigned to [her] by other people,” per The Daily Mail.

“I don’t want to keep lying about something that meant the absolute world to me,” she explained.

Eventually, Combs revealed a meeting she had with the show’s producer, Jonathan Levin, where she aimed to explain why “this is not the show [she] signed on to do” following Doherty’s sudden exit.

“It’s not about the list of names, it’s about this is not a show that I wanted to do without Shannen,” she recalled. “She didn’t want to do it without me, therefore I don’t want to do it without her, and that should be fairly clear.”

Noting that Levin “had tears in his eyes,” she knew that he could tell she was “getting upset,” as she ultimately asked him, “Why would you hire her again just to fire her?”

“And he said, ‘We didn’t mean to,'” she continued. “And he said that we’ve been backed into this corner. We’re basically in a position where it’s one or the other. We were told that’s her or me, and Alyssa [Milano] has threatened to sue us for a hostile workplace environment.”

Combs rehashed how their co-star allegedly “built a case for herself” after approaching the “corporate mediator,” all while “documenting every time she felt uncomfortable on set for whatever reason.”

“Whereas you and I refused to speak to him,” she added.

Doherty chimed in, “I always think that when somebody does that, I would, as a producer, call them on it. And I know that that’s a huge risk and it was definitely one that they didn’t want to take.”

Combs clarified that “by today’s standard, it wouldn’t even qualify,” highlighting that there were “no on-set brawls” or “harsh words exchanged,” as it was “all behind the scenes.”

She reiterated, “By today’s standards, it wouldn’t fucking fly.”

Doherty, who said she “lived a year after that sort of replaying everything in [her] brain,” claimed she doesn’t “ever remember being mean to her on set.”

“I remember an episode I directed where she did something on the Christmas break,” she shared. “And they asked me to work around some things with her and I had no problem with it. I couldn’t have been more kind and understanding.”

Decider reached out to Milano’s representatives for comment, but did not hear back in time of publication.

During last week’s “Part 1” episode, Combs and Doherty revealed on the latter’s podcast that Milano “caused a weird divide” between the two of them on set.

“It was really interesting of [her] trying to pull you away from me,” Doherty shared at the time, revealing that she thinks she “cried every single night” while filming the show’s sophomore season.
