Trouble In Paradise: ‘Golden Bachelor’ Lovebirds Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist Reportedly “Bickering All The Time” Ahead Of Their Televised Wedding

Planning a wedding is never easy, especially when you’re the world’s first Golden Bachelor.

A new report from OK! Magazine alleges that bachelor Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have been “bickering all the time” off camera as they prepare for their live televised Golden Wedding on Jan. 4.

An insider claimed to the outlet that Turner is offended that Nist requested that they sign a prenup agreement ahead of the wedding. “He’s offended that she doesn’t trust him,” the source claimed. “They’re bickering all the time now — unless the cameras are on.”

The insider also claimed that Nist’s friends are urging her to “think twice” about marrying the bachelor.

“She wants to stick it out, though her friends think it’s for the wrong reasons,” the source said.

Turner’s representatives did not return Decider’s request for comment by time of publication.

Nist’s friends are reportedly hesitant following The Hollywood Reporter‘s recent exposé, which claimed Turner dated another woman for nearly three years following his wife’s passing.

Turner addressed the claims raised in THR‘s report during an interview with Katie Couric.

“I guess I would say this: I dated a number of women, but then it becomes an issue of how you define whether you’re in a relationship,” he said. “The relationship referenced in [The Hollywood Reporter] really didn’t [last a few years]. But I want to focus on what’s going on now.”

He also told The New York Times last month, “I mean, I’m sitting across from Theresa right now, and I look at her and she’s the love of my life. And I really don’t have time to think about some of the other stuff.”

For now, at least, it looks like the Golden Wedding is still on.
