The Emmy Awards were a big evening for The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, who not only went home with the first Emmy win of her career, but she also got to meet Succession star Matthew MacFadyen.

The award-winning actors shared a hilarious moment on the red carpet when Edebiri recounted the time she once got grounded because she used his picture as her screensaver.

“Yeah, so I got grounded…,” she told him in a video from Entertainment Tonight. She explained that she once used a still image of him as Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice as her screensaver and her father demanded to know who it was. Mimicking her father’s voice, she said, “My dad was like, ‘WHO is this man? Who is this? Who is this guy in the coat? With the beautiful hair?!'”

MacFadyen laughed in response. In an interview later on, he said, “Good parenting! It’s good parenting. I haven’t heard that [before] but that’s good.”

The actor was also celebrating his own win of the evening, Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

MacFadyen certainly earned it with his memorable run on Succession, but it may be time to return to one of his most iconic roles opposite Keira Knightley in the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice.

This has been a busy awards season for the actress. In just one week, Edebiri won a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and a Critic’s Choice Award for her performance in The Bear Season 1.

The comedian, writer, and actress had multiple hilarious moments during the Emmys ceremony.

She made sure to shout out her parents during her acceptance speech, saying, “It’s probably not, like, a dream to immigrate to this country and have your child be like, ‘I want to do improv!,’ but you’re real ones.”
