Unlike Emma Stone, Hoda Kotb has no desire to be on Jeopardy.

During Friday’s broadcast of Today, Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager discussed Stone’s recent confession that she applies to Jeopardy every year. Stone admitted that she watches the show every night to prepare to one day compete on Jeopardy — and not the starry spinoff Celebrity Jeopardy.

But Kotb could not relate. “I feel dumb whenever I watch Jeopardy,” she told Bush Hager.

Bush Hager admitted that she’s “not great at Jeopardy,” though she thinks she could “dominate” certain categories.

“Nothing humbles you more than watching Jeopardy,” Kotb carried on. “You might think you’re smart, you’re not. You’re not at all. Because everybody on the show is smarter.”

She later added, “You know, there’s knowledge and there’s wisdom. We’re wisdom people. We don’t remember things, but we have wisdom.”

Stone recently appeared on Variety‘s Awards Circuit podcast, where she admitted that she applies “every June” to try and get on the game show.

“And they don’t tell you how you did,” she added. “They just say, ‘We’ll let you know in the next nine to 12 months if you got on the show.’ And guess what? I haven’t gotten on the show.”

She even has a strategy to help her prepare.

The Poor Things actress said she tunes in “every single night,” and even “mark[s] down how many answers” she guesses correctly.

Perhaps one day we’ll get to see Stone on the Alex Trebek stage!

Today with Jenna and Hoda airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
