Looking for movies to watch on Peacock this weekend? Join the club! You’re not the only one who signed up for Peacock Premium to stream the Chiefs vs. The Dolphins last weekend.

Now you’ve got a subscription to a new streaming service, and you’re looking to make the most of it. The good news for folks who like football and movies is that Peacock Premium has a decent film library, thanks to the fact that most of the Universal Pictures movies (the parent company of Peacock and NBC) end up streaming on Peacock.

That said, maybe you’re a longtime Peacock Premium subscriber and you’re simply looking for some movies on Peacock to watch. That’s cool too!

Either way, Decider has got you covered with movie recommendations. After all, that’s what we do. Here are three movies on Peacock to watch this weekend that will hopefully make the price of subscribing feel worth it.

  1. The Holdovers (2023)

Looking to brush up on Oscar movies before the nominations next week? Peacock has you covered by streaming The Holdovers, Alexander Payne’s critically acclaimed holiday comedy. After nabbing Best Actor for Paul Giamatti and Best Supporting Actress for Da’Vine Joy Randolph at the Golden Globes earlier this month, the odds are looking good for The Holdovers to pick up quite a few Oscar nominations. Plus, it’s a genuinely funny and heart-warming film, featuring a break-out performance from Dominic Sessa as a troubled boarding school student in 1970s New England, forced to spend his Christmas with his crotchety teacher (Giamatti).

  2. Nope (2022)

If you missed the latest Jordan Peele horror fest, Nope, you simply must watch it. And if you did watch it, you simply must watch it again. As fun, watchable, and entertaining as this alien thriller is on the first go, it’s on the rewatch that you’ll uncover the expertly crafted layers. Once you start noticing the visual parallels—the cowboy hat that looks like a flying saucer, the horse training mirror that looks like a reflective motorcycle helmet, the sound stage cameras that look like the gaping eyes of aliens—you won’t be able to stop. And yes, the part with the chimp makes sense. It’s a metaphor for Hollywood’s ill-advised attempt to tame a wild animal for the sake of content, OK?

  3. Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Look, the most recent Jurassic World film—like pretty much all of the films in the Chris Pratt Jurassic Park reboot series—was not great. But Jurassic World Dominion is a good example of what you’ll get with a subscription to Peacock Premium: Fast access to recent Universal blockbusters that weren’t worth seeing in theaters but are perfect for a beer-filled Saturday night. What makes this movie enjoyable is the fact that it features some familiar faces from the original films, including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill. That’s right, the golden trio is back. Plus, you can even stream the extended edition!
