The Bear follows Carmy (White) a high-end chef who leaves his life of fine dining to run his family sandwich shop in Chicago after his brother’s shocking death. In working to transform the eatery, Carmy must also navigate the various personalities of the kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships.

Since premiering in 2022, The Bear has become a critically acclaimed hit. At the 2024 Golden Globes, it took home three awards — Best Television Comedy, Best Male Actor in a Comedy (White) and Best Actress in a Comedy (Ayo Edebiri). The show also swept at the 2024 Emmys, taking home six awards including Best Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (White) and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Edebiri).

Will There Be A Season 3 Of The Bear?

Good news! The Bear was officially renewed for Season 3 back in November 2023. But that’s no surprise to fans! Deadline previously reported that the show’s Season 2 premiere was the most-watched premiere of any FX series on Hulu — so the streamer would be silly not to bring back this fan-favorite series.

The Bear Season 3 Release Date: When Is Season 3 Of The Bear?

Unfortunately, an exact release date for The Bear Season 3 has not yet been announced. However, White previously told The Today Show that production will start in February or March 2024.

Since the show’s second season began filming in February 2023 and premiered on Hulu in June of that same year, here’s hoping that The Bear Season 3 is locked and loaded by this summer!

Who Will Star In The Bear Season 3?

The Bear will likely bring back the same group of actors for its third installment — from White to Edebiri to Moss-Bachrach. Plus, if White has his way, we may even see some returning celebrity guest stars.

The iconic Season 2 episode titled “Fishes” featured famed actors like Jon Bernthal, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, John Mulaney and Jamie Lee Curtis as Carmy’s family members. While speaking to Deadline, White said he hopes “we can get as many [guest stars] to come back for one day,” specifically naming Olivia Colman, who played Chef Terry in a Season 2 episode, and Curtis, who played his character’s mom.
