Joy Behar was recently offered a rare compliment by Trump supporters. According to The View co-host, she was walking down the street in New York City when two pro-Donald Trump men told her she looked like “a hot Joy Behar.”

On this morning’s episode of The View, the women chatted about body positivity — noting the way stars like Selena Gomez and Nicole Kidman have embraced their appearances.

“Will this make people look differently at themselves? No. It’s not going to make people look differently at themselves,” Whoopi Goldberg said. “People love to bitch and moan about celebrities. Because they feel like, ‘How dare you be all of that and that.‘ And they’re mad.”

While Sara Haines felt that people should avoid commenting on physical appearances altogether, Behar saw nothing wrong in promoting a little self-love.

“It’s good to love your own body,” she said. “I’d prefer it if someone else would love mine even more than I love it. But I go along with everything.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin then pointed out that her co-host was recently called “hot,” to which Behar clarified, “By Trump supporters!”

According to the comedian, she was walking down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan when the interaction took place.

“There’s these Trump supporters there with their signs and their things and ‘Trump! Trump!’ — you know, the whole bit,” she recalled. “I’m very drawn to people like that because I like to hear what they’re thinking.”

Behar continued, “So I say to these two guys, ‘Are you Trump supporters?’ And they go, ‘Yeah.’ And they look at me and they go, ‘Hey! You could be a hot Joy Behar!’ … So I said, ‘Listen, I am a hot Joy Behar!'”

As the rest of the ladies burst out into laughter, Goldberg offered her own analysis.

“Isn’t that always the way?” she asked. “They don’t want you voting but they don’t mind taking you to bed.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
