Look what you made Ana Navarro do. On this morning’s episode of The View, the co-host rushed to Taylor Swift‘s defense after pornographic AI-generated images of the singer began circulating on social media.

The photos, which have since been taken down, have reportedly left Swift “furious” and considering legal action, according to insiders who spoke to The Daily Mail.

While Navarro might be a self-proclaimed non-Swiftie, she still didn’t understand why people are always out to get the “Blank Space” songstress.

“I don’t understand — and I’m not a Swiftie, I don’t know a single one of her songs — but I really don’t understand the obsession that people, particularly on the right, have with this very successful, politically engaged girl,” she said.

Navarro added, “Leave her the hell alone, already. She’s laughing all the way to the bank. Good for her!”

Joy Behar noted that Republicans aren’t necessarily on Swift’s side since she has “a gazillion fans” and she’s “telling them to vote” for Democrats.

As for the X-rated images, the insider told The Daily Mail, “Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided, but there is one thing that is clear: These fake, AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge.”

They continued, “The Twitter account that posted them does not exist anymore. It is shocking that the social media platform even let them be up to begin with. Legislation needs to be passed to prevent this, and laws must be enacted.”

However, Navarro wasn’t convinced that social media platforms or even lawmakers would be able to come up with a solution to the “deepfake” situation.

“This congress couldn’t pass a bill to say that apple pie is a good thing,” she said. “Depending on Congress is a lot. And depending on social media platforms to regulate themselves is even worse.”

Despite Navarro’s lack of confidence, Sara Haines had faith that Swift would use her voice to successfully advocate for change.

“It’s good that it’s Taylor Swift because she has money, she has resources,” Haines said. “This is when she is at her best — when she is swinging the bat. And it’s happening to much more unknown people that don’t have the voice or platform to fix it.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
