It looks like Bravo won’t be setting up camp in Michigan any time soon. On Sunday night’s (Jan. 28) episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen awkwardly shut down a fan’s request for a new Housewives franchise in her hometown of Grand Rapids.

The cringey moment came during a fan Q&A when Meredith from Grand Rapids video-chatted into the Bravo Clubhouse with a question for Married to Medicine star LaTeasha Lunceford. But, like most fans, she couldn’t help but shout out Cohen first.

“Andy, you are my absolute idol,” she said. “Hear me out, Real Housewives of Grand Rapids — RHOGR. It sounds pretty good. Call me.”

Without much hesitation, Cohen replied, “We’re good.”

However, he couldn’t help but notice Meredith’s sleek interior, telling her, “By the way, your house looks beautiful! Is that your house or a fake background?”

After she confirmed that it was “real,” Cohen seemed to have a change of heart about her initial request.

“Wow. OK. Well, maybe I’ll think about it,” he said.

While Bravo introduced its first international series The Real Housewives of Dubai less than two years ago, the thirst for new franchises is never fully quenched for fans.

During BravoCon‘s Ask Andy panel in November 2023, moderator Rachel Lindsay grilled the Bravo boss on whether the Housewives would come to any new cities like Las Vegas or New Orleans.

“We don’t have any new… I can tell you right now that there’s no new Housewives that have crossed my desk that are in the offing,” he said, per The Messenger. “We’re in a very strong period of Housewives right now. I don’t think there’s a hole in the marketplace for a new one.”

When Lindsay asked if there was a “possibility” of expansion, Cohen said, “Yes.”

So, Meredith, there’s still a chance for you!

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
