Ashley Park Reveals She’s Awaiting Medical Clearance To Return To ‘Emily In Paris’ Set After Septic Shock Hospitalization: “I Couldn’t Be More Excited To Join Them All On Set For Season 4”

Ashley Park is fortunately on the mend. On Sunday (Jan. 28), the actress posted an Instagram update from Paris, where she is “now recovering and resting” after suffering “critical septic shock” over the holidays, per Deadline.

Park shared how “deeply moved and thankful” she is for fans and loved ones who have shown their support through outreach, personal stories and love.

“Every message has honestly boosted me into a quick and hopeful recovery,” she wrote.

The Emily in Paris star broke the news of her hospitalization via Instagram on Jan. 19, explaining that her condition came after a bout of tonsillitis.

In her most recent post, she noted that she “was medically cleared to fly after responding to treatments,” and posted a photo showing herself receiving acupuncture in her leg.

She also shared her “incredible warm welcome from loved ones and [her] Emily in Paris fam,” which included a room full of flowers and a visit from her co-star Lily Collins.

“Thank you to @netflix and @emilyinparis for their genuine kindness and gracious patience as I wait to be medically cleared to work… I couldn’t be more excited to join then all on set for Season 4 ❤️,” she gushed.

She continued, “I promise I’m breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape. in the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles @lilyjcollins ;).”

As for Collins, she commented, “Couldn’t love you more and hugging you made me feel like home. You’re an absolute light sister 🤍.”

She also took to Instagram on Jan. 19 to share a selfie with a Season 4 episode script, writing that “it feels so good” to be back with her cast mates in Paris.

Emily in Paris Seasons 1 through 3 are now streaming on Netflix.
