Sunny Hostin Confirms ‘The View’ Hosts Had A Group Chat Without Alyssa Farah Griffin: “There Was One At One Time”

Alyssa Farah Griffin‘s worst nightmare came true on this morning’s episode of The View after Sunny Hostin bluntly admitted to having a secret group chat with the other co-hosts.

During a Hot Topics segment, the ladies discussed whether they were guilty of partaking in smaller group chats where they “secretly send messages about someone who has been excluded from the chain.”

Both Hostin and Sara Haines were among the first to raise their hands, while Griffin noted that “you can’t do that.”

“I’m pretty sure the Kardashians did that and it didn’t go over well. It had, like, family minus Kourtney,” she said, referencing the drama on the latest season of The Kardashians.

As the only Republican at the table — and the newest addition to the show — the former White House staffer understandably wondered whether her co-hosts had a secret chat that didn’t include her.

“I’m just wondering: is there a host text thread that I’ve been excluded from? Because I feel like there might be,” she said, to which Hostin admitted, “There was one at one time. But you’re on it now.”

While Griffin appeared happy that she finally “made it” into the chat, one of her other co-hosts was not as thrilled about being included. According to Whoopi Goldberg, she often tries to remove herself from The View’s group chats —  but someone always adds her back in.

“I communicate when I have something to say. I don’t just be sending y’all stuff,” she said. “I’m busy, I’m busy! When I talk about those hit-and-runs, what do you think I’m doing?”

Sound familiar? During a December 2022 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Goldberg gave host Drew Barrymore some dating advice based on her own life experience.

“Maybe, a hit and run is a better way to go,” she said. “For now, until you say to yourself, ‘Now, I really want someone to just be part of this.’ Right now, that might not be what you’re looking for, which is probably why you’re doing fine.”

When Barrymore asked if she still “hits and runs,” Goldberg shamelessly replied, “All the time.”

So the next time she doesn’t answer Joy Behar and Hostin’s royal family gossip in The View’s group chat, they know what she’s doing!
