What’s up next for Catherine O’Hara to take on — or rather, take off?

While stopping by Good Morning America on Tuesday morning (Jan. 30) with her Argylle co-star Bryce Dallas Howard, O’Hara was reminded by host Lara Spencer that the upcoming spy comedy marks her “first-ever action movie.”

The 69-year-old actress then teased that now she’s “gonna do a nude scene.”

“I think it’s time for a nude scene now!” she exclaimed. “I’ve done the action. That’s off the wish list. Now, I think my body’s ready for a big nude scene.”

Over the course of her decades-long career, O’Hara has scored a multitude of notable roles, including portraying the matriarch of both the McCallister family in Home Alone and the Rose family in Schitt’s Creek.

She takes on another matriarchal role in Argylle as the mother of Howard’s Elly Conway. On Tuesday morning’s GMA segment, Howard revealed that she texted director Matthew Vaughn “immediately” after reading the script to recommend O’Hara for the role.

“He asked my opinion, and I said, ‘Catherine O’Hara,’ and then the next day he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s done,'” she explained.

O’Hara chimed in, noting that she “got to wear red hair” to better resemble Howard, adding that she “love[s] a good wig.

While she got her big break on the Canadian sketch comedy show SCTV (Second City Television), she nearly joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, but left after a week out of respect and dedication to those she worked alongside at SCTV, whom she referred to as “family” in a recent interview with People.

Argylle hits theaters on Friday, Feb. 2. Watch the trailer above.
