Following his 2023 conviction for the rape of two women, That ’70s Show actor Danny Masterson has been moved to a maximum security prison in California.

State records show that the actor is currently being held at the California State Prison in Corcoran, where he was admitted Dec. 27, 2023. The records also note that Masterson will not be eligible for parole until July 2042, when the 47-year-old actor is 66.

It appears that this will be the facility where Masterson will carry out his sentence of 30 years to life. Blogger Jeffrey Augustine noted that the actor will be housed in the Level 4 maximum security housing unit.

As The Wrap notes in their reporting, this is the highest level of security available at the facility. It is also where murderer Charles Manson was held during his sentence.

This news comes after Masterson was recently denied bail by Judge Charlaine Olmedo, who believed Masterson had “every incentive to flee” because his wife Bijou Phillips filed for divorce after his sentencing.

Masterson’s attorneys had requested that he be granted bail so he could “be an at-home parent and financial provider for his family.”

But Judge Olmedo denied the request, saying in their decision that Masterson “has no wife to go home to.”

“If defendant’s conviction and sentence are upheld on appeal, he will likely remain in custody for decades and perhaps the rest of his life,” Judge Olmedo wrote in the decision. “In light of the fact that defendant has no wife to go home to, defendant now has every incentive to flee and little reason to return to state prison to serve out the remainder of his lengthy sentence should his appeal be unsuccessful.”

Masterson is also named in a civil case filed by the three Jane Does who claimed the Church of Scientology harassed them after they reported their claims against the actor. The three victims also participated in the criminal case for which Masterson was convicted.

The civil case is set to go to trial in September 2025, per Deadline.
