The first footage for Carry On was revealed today, giving viewers a first look at the new Taron Egerton Netflix movie that is coming to the streaming service this year. The clip is less than 10 seconds and was featured in Netflix’s 2024 Series and Film Preview trailer that dropped on Thursday morning. It’s just time enough to get you excited for this upcoming action flick.

The clip, which you can find at the minute and 20-second mark in the video in the player at the top of this page, features Egerton as the world’s coolest TSA agent, sprinting through an airport. His character, Ethan Kopek, accidentally let a dangerous package slip through security. (My money is on a bottle of lotion that’s larger than 3.4 ounces.) Is Egerton about to become the Tom Cruise of airport security movies? Only time will time. But probably not.

It likely has something to do with Jason Bateman, who plays a character credited only as “Mysterious Traveler.” In the clip, we see Bateman—looking shady AF in a black cap and backpack—declare, “Today is going to be a day you’re going to remember for a long time.”

Carry On was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Commuter, Jungle Cruise, Black Adam), with a script co-written by T.J. Fixman and Michael Green. The film was produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. The Carry On supporting cast includes Logan Marshall-Green, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Sinqua Walls, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener, and Dean Norris.
