Andy Cohen Calls Out ‘WWHL’ Audience For Lack Of Enthusiasm: “That Was Just Terrible”

Married to Medicine star Dr. Alicia Egolum may have been on the most recent episode of Watch What Happens Live — but even she couldn’t cure the live audience’s case of the Sunday blues.

The group’s clear lack of enthusiasm became apparent when only a select few helped host Andy Cohen introduce one of his signature games.

“On the Married to Medicine couples trip, Toya admitted to having BDE, but it was the tension between some of the women that was growing thick,” he said. “I want Dr. Alicia to unload it all. So tonight … Let’s! Give! Hilton Head!”

While the audience was supposed to chant the title of the game along with Cohen, a majority didn’t catch on until the end — and the talk show host made sure to call them out for dropping the ball.

“Oh, my god,” Cohen said in disappointment. “Audience, that was just terrible. You had one job, audience!”

After scolding the audience, he then turned to the Bravo Clubhouse hype-woman and said, “Rachael, this audience! I mean…”

This isn’t the only time Cohen has shared a cringey moment with fans in recent weeks. Last Sunday (Jan. 28), he awkwardly shut down one Bravoholic’s request for a new Housewives franchise in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan during a virtual Q&A session.

“Andy, you are my absolute idol. Hear me out, Real Housewives of Grand Rapids — RHOGR. It sounds pretty good. Call me,” she said, to which Cohen quickly replied, “We’re good.”

However, Cohen seemingly had a change of heart once he noticed her sleek interior design.

“By the way, your house looks beautiful! Is that your house or a fake background?” he asked, before adding, “Wow. OK. Well, maybe I’ll think about it.”
