Jacob Elordi is reportedly under investigation for allegedly assaulting a radio producer over a joke he made about the actor’s infamous bathtub scene in Saltburn.

According to Joshua Fox, who is a producer for The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS FM, he approached Elordi at an Australian hotel and asked if he could have some bathwater to give his friend for her birthday — a nod to the Saltburn scene in which Barry Keoghan‘s character drinks bathwater that Elordi’s character had just ejaculated into.

However, the joke didn’t land and the Euphoria star allegedly channeled his inner Nate Jacobs when he asked Fox to stop filming and delete the footage.

“He’s like, ‘Can you not use the footage?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.’ Because the joke didn’t land so we wouldn’t — there was nothing there,” Fox recalled on the radio show. “He then gets up in my face — he’s so close … I could’ve kissed him he was that close. So I’m backed against the wall. He’s right in my face and his two boys are on either side of me.”

While Fox deleted the video from his phone, Elordi allegedly demanded that he also remove it from his recently deleted folder. Now feeling “quite intimidated” by the “aggressive” actor, Fox decided not to oblige.

“I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence,” he said. “And then Jacob kind of just flips and he kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat.”

The New South Wales Police later said they were investigating the scuffle between a 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, who is believed to be Elordi.

“Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” they said in a statement shared with Variety. “Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”

Decider has reached out to reps for Elordi for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.
