Joy Behar had enough of Chris Christie on today’s taping of The View. While the longtime co-host began the morning “in love” with the Republican politician, her feelings quickly soured as she and Christie clashed over President Joe Biden and his abilities to take on a potential second term.

Before things got too tense, Behar listed off reasons why Biden is excelling at his job, from expanding health care benefits to getting rid of “a lot” of student loan debt.

“I turned 81 in October. Joe Biden’s exactly my age,” she said. “I don’t see this obsession with his age when all of this is being accomplished in this country. Tell me why that’s an issue.”

According to Christie, there are “a few issues” with Biden remaining in the White House.

“If Joe Biden had the ratings at 81 that you have, it wouldn’t be a problem,” he joked. “But [he has a] 37% approval rating in the country. And the reason for that is — all those things you just talked about which are factually true — he can’t sell it. He’s not selling it.”

Christie added, “And it’s not that Joe Biden never could sell it. I’ve known Joe Biden for 40 years. He was a really good, effective politician. He isn’t anymore.”

While Behar pointed out that Biden is “the manager of the country,” Christie noted that “being president is more than just that” — which only frustrated the comedian.

“It’s also convincing people. It’s convincing people that what you’re doing makes sense,” Christie continued, before Behar threw her pen down on the Hot Topics table and scoffed, “I can’t take it.”

The ex-candidate then fired back, “I know you can’t take it, but it is the truth.”

Despite their clash, Christie doubled down on why he thinks Americans are worried that Donald Trump could beat Biden in the next race.

“Given that record, there shouldn’t be any concern,” he said. “The reason is that people look at [Biden] and they say, ‘Is he really up to it? Can he really do it? And not only can he do it today, but we’re giving him a four-year contract to go until he’s 86.'”

Behar then snapped, “But when you compare him to Trump, the guy has all these smart people around him! Trump will have every idiot in the country in his administration.”

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg chimed in to round out the conversation, telling the panel, “You can sell it as much as you want. If you can’t get the broadcast out, it’s not gonna help.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
