Andy Cohen will never forget the time Madonna called him out in the middle of her concert. On Thursday night’s (Feb. 15) episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Bravo boss revealed that the Queen of Pop gave him “the finger” after calling him a “troublemaking queen” during her December 2023 show in New York.

The conversation came up when a virtual fan asked guest Amy Schumer about her experience joining Madonna onstage to judge her dancers while she was performing “Vogue.” After Schumer noted that Cohen “did it too,” he clarified that Kelly Ripa was the surprise guest the night he attended the concert.

“What about the first night?” Schumer asked, to which Cohen replied, “The first night she called me a troublemaking queen in front of the entire thing at Barclays and then gave me the finger so it was a whole different experience.”

He then added, “We can talk about it offline.”

The awkward moment between Cohen and Madonna occurred while she was playing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as part of her ongoing Celebration Tour. The talk show host was front and center when the singer dished out a direct warning.

“If you say one more bad thing about me on your show… you’re gonna get in so much trouble,” Madonna said. “You little troublemaking queen.”

Cohen later shared a clip of their interaction on Instagram, where he expressed his love for the “Like a Virgin” singer.

“I’m a life-long Madonna fan, so it’s a thrill and an honor to be called a ‘troublemaking queen’ by the Queen of Troublemaking,” he wrote. “I BOW! Also – go see the new tour. It blew me away!! What a great night. Can’t wait to go back. #TroublemakingQueen.”

In the next slide, Cohen proved that he’s had nothing but kind things to say about Madonna on WWHL by sharing a montage of clips in which he praises the star.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
