The “club closes at 2am, but she doesn’t come home until 4am” meme comes to life in Love Is Blind Season 6 as the love triangle between Jeramey, Laura, and Sarah Ann continues, even after two of them gets engaged.

The new season of the hit Netflix reality show premiered Feb. 14, 2024 with six new episodes, followed by the next four on Feb. 21, 2024.

In the latest drop of episodes, the engaged couples leave their vacation spot in Dominican Republic to return to Charlotte, North Carolina. Once home, they move in together and meet each other’s friends and families.

Engaged couple Jeramey, a 32-year-old working in intralogistics, and Laura, a 34-year-old account director, find themselves having relationship troubles in Episode 9, “Secret Rendezvous,” after it is revealed that Jeramey met up with Sarah Ann, one of his love interests from the pods.

In the episode, Laura grills Jeramey about what he was doing the previous night because he arrived home at a late hour. “You left at 10:45 and were out until five-something in the fucking morning,” she says to him.

Jeramey explains that he originally planned to go to a karaoke bar with his friends from the pods, but then he got a text to go to Lost and Found, and while on the way, he was informed that Sarah Ann would be there.

Sarah Ann, a 30-year-old customer support manager, was close to Jeramey during the dating sessions and reached out to him — to Laura’s dismay — upon exiting the pods. Laura previously shared that she was upset with his response to Sarah Ann, as he “liked” her message and followed her back on social media.

Jeramey tells Laura that he wasn’t going to let Sarah Ann control his night, so he went to the bar. “I went there and she comes over to me and is like, ‘Hi Jeramey,’ hugs me, and walks away, and I’m like, ‘What was that?’ I come to find out that she’s upset about a lot of things. In order to not drag things out and make it worse, I was like, ‘Do I need to have a conversation with her?'”

He then admits that he “hung back with Sarah and was talking until 5am.”

Laura accuses Jeramey of not taking the initiative to end things with Sarah, despite having the opportunity to do so before meeting with her at the bar. “I’m just supposed to trust that you supposedly had this lovely conversation where you did nothing but shut it down. When you could have done that weeks ago,” she tells him.

Unpleased with Jeramey’s responses, Laura says, “Right now, I don’t fucking believe you. You must have left the door at least a little cracked open for her to think it was even remotely appropriate to reach out to you. Maybe it’s that you’re not capable of severing the limb and cutting things off. Maybe you’re Mr. Nice Guy too much…”

Jeramey tries to calm Laura down by insisting that he shared his location with her as an act of reassurance, but Laura responds saying that she doesn’t want to be in a relationship where she has to follow someone’s location. “Reassurance would be coming home at a decent hour, not at six o’clock in the morning. I would have acted so much differently than you did in this situation. It’s unreal. I know nothing bothers you and you don’t get stressed out, but I’m supposed to meet the mother of my fiancee today,” Laura says.

As the conversation continues, Laura asks Jeramy where he was hanging out with Sarah Ann, and he claims that he was in the bar parking lot. “You were hanging out in the parking lot of Lost and Found until five-something in the morning?” Laura asks.

“I’m not denying anything,” Jeramey responds.

“You’re denying leaving the bar,” says Laura.

Jeramey attempts to shut down the conversation when Laura tells him to admit that he lied. She reveals that she checked his location while he was out and he was “north of Uptown, which is where Sarah lives.”

Jaw. Meet. Ground. Jeramey, after all of that, you still lied? You shared your location and then lied about where you were? Sorry man, but I have to side with Laura on this one. That’s some clown behavior right there.

At the end of the conversation, Laura states that she “wants out.” But what does that mean? Is she done with the conversation, or done with her engagement to Jeramey? The preview for next week teases a pool party reuniting several people from the pods, and Laura appears annoyed by Sarah Ann’s presence. Another contestant pulls Sarah Ann to the side and says, “He did not choose you,” to which Sarah Ann replies with a smirk, “He said he was breaking everything off…” Yikes!
