History appears to be repeating itself on Wheel of Fortune.

Contestant Tamara made it to the Bonus Round on Friday night’s (Feb. 23) episode, where she opted for a puzzle in the “What Are You Doing?” category, per The U.S. Sun.

After selecting “G, D, B, and A” as her extra letters, she was left to parse the following four-word response: “_ _ _ N _ NG A B _ _ K _ _ _ B.”

Before her ten-second timer began, host Pat Sajak offered her some support.

“Now, pay attention to what’s up there,” he said. “There’s a huge letter board. If you talk it out, you can do this.”

Tamara began, “Fanning a,” and took some time before figuring out what the last two words were.

“Book club!” she exclaimed.

She made a sound before ultimately guessing, “Running a book club!”

Sajak noted that Tamara “got there a little late, unfortunately,” as letter turner Vanna White unveiled the answer as “Joining a book club.”

While Tamara went home with $21,132, Sajak revealed that she would have received an extra $50,000 had she guessed the puzzle correctly.

Meanwhile, some viewers at home were convinced that she “got it,” posting on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) that the show “did Tamara dirty.” Another fan claimed that “she said it,” while one deemed the moment “bullshit” and urged Wheel of Fortune to “give that lady her prize.”

Still, some sided with Sajak, as one argued that “she said ‘running a book club,'” while another highlighted that she “never said ‘joining.'” Another offered up a sassy response, noting that “the magic of being able to replay over and over is wonderful.”

This news arrives just a couple weeks after another similar Wheel of Fortune fan frenzy. Megan Carvale, a fellow contestant, also made it to the Bonus Round puzzle while competing on the Jan. 30 episode.

Fans were certain that she had uttered the correct answer of “pink orchid” before the timer ran out, and demanded that she be given the $40,000 award. However, some argued that she had actually said “something orchid” while figuring out her guess. Fortunately, Carvale appeared on Good Morning America to set the record straight.

“You know, I wish I said ‘pink,’ because I would have been $40,000 richer,” she shared. “But I said ‘something.'”

Wheel of Fortune airs on weeknights at 7:30/6:30c. Check out their website for local listings.
