Starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, Austin Butler and Florence Pugh, Dune: Part 2 follows Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen to exact revenge on those who destroyed his family.

So, where can you watch Dune: Part 2? Will it be on Max? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH DUNE: PART 2:

UPDATE 4/10/24: Dune 2 will become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms beginning on Tuesday, April 16. Plus, the movie will release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, May 14.

Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Max. WHEN WILL DUNE: PART 2 BE STREAMING ON MAX? WHAT IS THE DUNE: PART 2 MAX RELEASE DATE?

UPDATE 5/14/24: Dune 2 will officially be available to stream on Max on Tuesday, May 21.

Dune: Part 2 is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures — meaning it will indeed join Max. Since the company no longer drops its movies on the streaming platform the same day they’re released in theaters, we are going to have to wait at least 45 days before we can watch from the comfort of our living rooms.

While there is no official streaming release date yet, The Color Purple, another Warner Bros. movie, was released in theaters on Dec. 25 and didn’t make its way to Max until Feb. 16 — nearly eight weeks after it debuted. If Dune: Part 2 follows the same trajectory, it’s possible we won’t be able to stream it until early May 2024.

WILL DUNE: PART 2 BE ON NETFLIX?

Warner Bros. Discovery films typically head right to Max after their release, however, it is completely possible that Dune: Part 2 will join Netflix at some point in the future. This is due to a deal penned between the two streaming giants that gave Netflix the streaming rights to eight DCEU movies along with other Warner Bros. Discovery projects like the original Dune and Meg 2: The Trench.
