When Does the Next Episode of ‘Helluva Boss’ Come Out?

Vivienne Medrano is taking the animation world by storm. Her raunchy animated web series Helluva Boss, which exists in the same fictional universe as Hazbin Hotel, has been on hiatus since October 2023. Now, fans are wondering when more episodes will be released.

Like Hazbin Hotel, the show’s pilot premiered in 2019 and quickly amassed a cult following. But unlike its predecessor, which eventually found a home on Prime Video, Helluva Boss continued on YouTube.

The webseries is a worthy counterpart to Hazbin Hotel, striking a similar tone and incorporating musical sequences, but follows a group of new characters and a different premise.

Set in Hell, the show follows the eccentric employees of the assassination company I.M.P, which stands for Immediate Murder Professionals.

Characters include boss Blitzo (the “o” is silent), weapons expert Moxxie, assassin Millie, and the demon prince of Hell Stolas.

Since the release of the pilot, which has over 62 million views on YouTube, the series has aired two seasons with Season 2 currently in the works. The latest episode is Season 2, Episode 7, “Mammon’s Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special,” which aired on Oct. 29, 2023 and was said to be “years in the making.”

Medrano revealed in a tweet that the current season contains 12 episodes. So, there are five episodes left. Wondering when the hit webseries will return? Here’s everything we know.

When Does the Next Episode of Helluva Boss Come Out?

So, there’s some good news and some bad news! There have been a few major updates on when the next episode will come out, but an official date has yet to be announced.

While speaking with The Direct at Fan Expo Vancouver, Helluva Boss co-writer and Blitzo voice actor Brandon Rogers revealed that the eighth episode is “done” and was viewed by the creative team in January. He described it as “incredible.”

During the conversation, Rogers speculated that the series will return in “March or April.”

“It is going to serve on a lot of levels, and fans are going to be very happy with it,” he shared.

Last month, the Helluva Boss team teased the show’s return in a tweet that read, “Since we just passed the real full moon, it seems your summoning circles have worked. Have a #HelluvaBoss peek. Release date news for the rest of our season two episodes coming soon!” The post included a gif of Stolas feeling under the weather.

According to IMDb, the next episode will be titled “The Full Moon.”

On the topic of the good news, Medrano revealed during a live stream in March 2023 that she has begun writing the script for Season 3.
