Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright‘s relationship begins to crumble in a new trailer for their upcoming Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley.

While the teaser starts on a rather light note, we know things are going to take a heated turn when Pump Rules star Tom Schwartz shows up to warn Taylor that “it’s only a matter of time before you’re gonna be living with me … divorced and miserable.”

It all starts when Taylor shuts down Cartwright’s “baby fever,” telling her, “Bringing in another human being, it’s worrisome to me.” The couple, who recently announced their separation, already share 2-year-old son Cruz.

Taylor’s true colors come back into play when his wife becomes emotional during a tense conversation. When the House of Villains star tells her not to cry, she says, “See, I can’t even have an emotion,” to which he bluntly replies, “No, you can’t.”

While talking to co-star Janet Caperna, Cartwright reveals that she doesn’t feel like Taylor is “attracted” to her, admitting that they “don’t have sex ever.” Meanwhile, rumors swirl about Taylor cheating as he’s heard saying, “It’s so hard to be married sometimes.” He later adds, “I don’t know how to manage raising a child, raising a family, starting a business.”

The duo even end up in a screaming match in front of their friends at one point.

“You’re my fucking husband, and you’re trying to make me look like I’m a bad person. Fuck you!” Cartwright fumes, while Taylor simply mutters, “She has a fucking problem.”

The tense teaser comes shortly after Cartwright revealed last month that she and Taylor had separated.

“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said on their joint podcast, When Reality Hits. “I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still really hard to talk about.”

According to the most recent episode of their podcast, Bravo cameras resumed filming amid the announcement of their breakup — much like they did after Ariana Madix discovered Tom Sandoval cheating with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss in March of last year.

“We did pick up cameras,” Cartwright said on the March 8 episode, per Us Weekly. “We filmed The Valley in July, August and September, so we wrapped in September. We picked back up to let everyone know what’s going on with our lives now for a couple of days.”

She added that “a lot has changed since we wrapped the show.”

The Valley debuts on Tuesday, March 19 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
