Netflix teased “surprise guests” in the Love Is Blind Season 6 reunion, but nobody expected it to be like this.

Past contestants Giannina Milady, Matt Bolton, Colleen Reed, Kwame Appiah, and Chelsea Griffin, among others, were in attendance for the special evening.

The first few segments of the hotly-anticipated episode were filled with introductions and a recap of the alums, to the disappointment of viewers who tuned in for updates on the latest drama. It wasn’t long before the internet lit up with criticism for the new episode.

“The fact they only had one couple get married this season is actually embarrassing, they are really going over past couples for lack of romantic feel-good scenes in this season,” tweeted one unhappy viewer.

“Sorry but why are we having a segment on the participants from past seasons?!? I wanna discuss the tea from THIS season,” wrote another.

A third person blamed co-host Vanessa Lachey for the creative decision, writing, “Why are we starting off this reunion revisiting past seasons and who’s having babies??? I just know this is Vanessa’s doing!”

Now, we don’t know for sure if the accusation against the former model is true. However, she has been at the scene of the crime numerous times in the past, during the reunions.

Perhaps the best tweet to sum up the night is, “I promise you we do not need a recap of past Love is Blind couples, WE WERE THERE!!” It’s true, the past couples didn’t have much to offer and their wacky introduction at the top of the episode were just references to moments from their time on the reality show. Those couples already had their reunions and their After the Altar specials, let’s pack the bags and move on.

Thankfully, the reunion quickly segwayed from the alums to the intense drama between Laura, Sarah Ann, and Jeramey. The heated conversation offered a few meme-able moments, like Laura calling Jeramey a “clown,” which was long overdue.

Love Is Blind Season 6 is streaming on Netflix.
