Robyn Bernard, best known for her tenure on General Hospital, died Tuesday (March 12). She was 64.

A press release from the Riverside County Sheriff and Coroner’s website revealed that early on Tuesday, her body was discovered in an “open field behind [a] business” in San Jacinto, California, per The Hollywood Reporter.

According to TMZ, her fingerprints were used to determine her identity, but a cause of death has not yet been announced; an autopsy was set to take place yesterday (March 13). However, the outlet reports that “toxicology will take several weeks” as part of the ongoing investigation.

Bernard appeared in 145 episodes of the beloved soap opera as Terry Brock (also known as Terry O’Connor) over the course of six years (1984-1990), per TMZ. According to Soaps.com, her character was an “aspiring singer” whose father was David Groh’s D.L. Brock.

As part of her storyline, Terry began struggling with drinking, which impacted her music career, per Deadline. However, in March 1990, Terry landed a record deal and departed from Port Charles — the fictional home of the soap — and the show as a whole.
