‘Among Us’ Animated Series Sets Starry Cast: Elijah Wood, Randall Park, Yvette Nicole Brown And Ashley Johnson

The wildly popular game “Among Us” will be getting an animated adaptation over at CBS Studios. And the network has officially announced the star-studded cast of comedians who will be voicing the space crew.

According to Variety, the official cast includes Lord of the RingsElijah Wood, Fresh Off the Boat‘s Randall Park, Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown and Ashley Johnson, who some may recognize from her memorable guest appearance on The Last of Us.

The show’s official logline reads, “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”

Each character plays an important role on the ship crew and have their own so-called “fun fact,” according to Variety‘s report. Park will star as Red, the captain of the Skeld. His character is described as a “people-pleaser, blowhard” whose main task is offering “leadership” and “confidence” to the crew. It’s important to note that his character “failed upwards” into this role.

Wood stars as Green, described as the “unpaid intern” — though he does get paid in pizza — who is just “happy to be there” and does “whatever they’re told.”

Brown plays HR rep Orange, a no-nonsense “spineless corporate shill” whose main task is to “eliminate redundancy, redundantly.” Her fun fact is not so fun, as she’s known for firing you “over email.”

Johnson stars as Purple, the ship’s chief of security. Her task on the ship just reads “wet blanket.” Fun fact: She has “trust issues.”

Wood shared in a post on X, writing, “Woohoo! So stoked to be a part of this.”

Innersloth, the studio behind the mobile game, will be involved in the animated series, along with CBS Eye Animation Productions.

The series will be animated by Titmouse, the animation studio behind Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Variety notes that a streamer has not yet been set for the animated series, as such conversations are still ongoing. A premiere date has also not yet been announced.
