It was an emotional morning at the Hot Topics table as Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo connected Sunny Hostin with her late grandmother, prompting The View co-host to break down in tears on national television.

In a pre-recorded reading, Caputo asked Hostin about her maternal grandmother, who died unexpectedly. “Nobody knows about that — about what you carried [and] the burden that you feel that you should’ve been there, could have been there,” Caputo told a tearful Hostin.

The former prosecutor confirmed that her grandmother’s passing has weighed heavily on her shoulders, before asking the psychic medium if she chose the right hospital.

“You made the right choice,” Caputo confirmed. “Do you still have her prayer book or Bible? Because she just showed me the nightstand with a Bible wrapped in rosary beads.”

A stunned Hostin muttered, “Oh my god,” and immediately began to sob as she pulled her grandmother’s rosary beads out of her pocket. Caputo told the talk show host that that was a sign that she “made the right choice” when it came to choosing which hospital would care for her grandmother.

Hostin further elaborated on the situation back at the Hot Topics table, telling the group that her grandmother was living with her when she suffered a stroke and sepsis. When paramedics asked which hospital they should take her to, Hostin chose the “closer” one over the “fancier” one, making her believe her grandmother didn’t get “the best care” at the end of her life.

“I stayed at the hospital all night and then they told me to go home and that I could see her the next day and then I got a call an hour later,” she said. “I felt like she died alone which is why a lot of times I carry her rosary beads with me. So thank you.”

But Caputo assured Hostin that she wasn’t the one she should be thanking.

“Don’t thank me, thank her. Her soul is the one that gave you the gift because she saw through your eyes what was holding you back from healing,” Caputo explained. “Because how can you heal and remember the good times when you’re beating yourself up?”

An emotional Hostin then quipped, “You have me crying on national television, thanks!”

Ana Navarro was also lucky enough to get a reading from Caputo. During hers — which was equally as tear-jerking — she connected with her late mother and brother.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
