Jimmy Kimmel is suggesting we hush all of the hubbub about Kate Middleton.

The late night host mentioned on Thursday night’s (March 21) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live that we “finally got a royal update” on the Princess of Wales, seemingly referring to a story published by The Telegraph on Thursday, per The Daily Beast.

“According to to a spokesperson for Kensington Palace, there’s a very simple explanation for Kate Middleton’s whereabouts: She’s been working from home,” he shared.

Proceeding to question how a princess could accomplish that, he joked, “I’m just going to stay in and wave at people?”

He continued to note that he doesn’t “understand all the craziness around this.”

“Why do we have to know where she is?” he asked. “It’s not like she’s the bus driver.”

Noting that “she had abdominal surgery,” he suggested that “maybe she has a colostomy bag and doesn’t want everybody to see it.”

“I mean, really,” he continued. “People are demanding she get dressed up and march through London so we can have a look at her. Leave this woman alone!”

Kimmel had iterated a similar sentiment on Tuesday night’s (March 19) episode while highlighting Donald Trump‘s opinion about Middleton’s buzzy altered family photo, per Parade.

“For the first time this century, I agree with Donald Trump,” he said at the time. “It really isn’t a big deal.”

Meanwhile, John Oliver jokingly played into the conspiracies on Watch What Happens Live last Tuesday (March 12), noting that he was not interested about her whereabouts “until the PhotoShop thing.”

“It feels like you’re almost handling it badly in an impressive way at this point,” he added.

He then poked fun at the situation on Last Week Tonight, teasing that “a certain someone’s Adobe free trial expired in a pretty public manner.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC. Watch Thursday night’s monologue above.
