Ricky Martin looked back at his past as he described getting “cornered” into his first kiss on Thursday night’s (March 21) episode of Watch What Happens Live.
During a game of “Pillow Talk,” host Andy Cohen asked the singer a handful of “soft and fluffy” questions as they both rested their heads on separate pillows. Through the segment, viewers learned that Martin hasn’t cried since December, that his favorite chick flick is Pretty Woman and that his first-ever celebrity crush was John Travolta. He also described himself as a “generous, caring and passionate” lover.
At one point, Cohen asked him to recount his first kiss.
“I was cornered. It was wet. It was delicious. Filling,” he said as he reenacted a sloppy kiss. According to the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer, it was with “a beautiful girl that [he] was so in love with.”
Martin rose to fame as a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo. While he said he would never reunite with the band, he had nothing but nice things to say about their time guest-starring on a 1985 episode of The Love Boat in which Lana Turner played the band’s caretaker.
“It was very beautiful. She was our caretaker for the band,” he said. “It was beautiful because it was shot in the actual cruise. It’s usually in the studio.”
Nowadays, Martin is starring alongside Carol Burnett and Kristen Wiig — who was also present in the Bravo Clubhouse — in the new Apple TV+ series Palm Royale. While talking about the show, the Saturday Night Live alum gushed over working with Burnett.
“She inspired me so much,” Wiig said. “I mean, that’s how I first saw sketch comedy. It was Carol. She had her own show as a woman at that time. She’s the best.”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
