The moment Bachelor Nation has been waiting for since January is nearly here: Joey Graziadei’s emotional Bachelor finale.

Since The Bachelor Season 28 kicked off with a shot of the 28-year-old tennis teaching pro standing on a proposal platform sobbing to a Billie Eilish song, viewers have wondered about the end of Joey’s journey, which franchise host Jesse Palmer calls “an unprecedented shocking first in Bachelor history.”

(UPDATE: 3/25/24 @ 10:09PM): Joey has made a decision in The Bachelor season finale. Did he pick Daisy or Kelsey? And, more importantly, did either of them say yes? Spoilers ahead!

“You can see in those promos I’m obviously emotional. That can be taken in so many ways,” Graziadei told Decider in a Zoom interview. “I just have to say the same thing that Jesse said: I do believe it’s something that hasn’t happened before. And I know people are gonna speculate, but it’s just one of those things you have to tune in to figure out how it actually happens.”

The shot of Joey crying beside his remaining final rose — coupled with his greatest fear of feelings being unreciprocated — initially made viewers fear he ended the season alone, but we have hopes that Joey does end up with someone in the finale…here’s why!

On top of The Bachelor lead telling Decider, “I’m very happy with the whole experience,” four major Bachelor Nation finale spoilers and fan theories predict he ends the season happily with one of his final two contestants: Daisy Kent or Kelsey Anderson.

So how does Joey’s season of The Bachelor end? Does he end up with anyone? And if so, what’s all the drama about? Here’s some insight from the The Bachelor Season 28’s top spoilers.

  1. The Bachelor Season 28 Reality Steve Spoilers

In a November 29, 2023 blog post, Bachelor Nation’s trusted spoiler Reality Steve shared his spoilers for Joey’s season of The Bachelor. He confidently dubbed Daisy Kent the Season 28 winner, so for the majority of the season, viewers believed that Joey and Daisy were headed for an engagement. In an unexpected twist, however, Reality Steve revealed his initial sources were incorrect in a February 27 post.

“Joey is engaged to Kelsey A. and has been since filming ended,” Reality Steve wrote in his updated post. “After Daisy’s last date with Joey, she realizes it’s not her. So she goes to Kelsey’s room and essentially tell her ‘It’s not me, It’s you, and I’m gonna tell him that tomorrow’…So yeah, never happened before.”

On proposal day, Reality Steve claims “Daisy DOES arrive first and basically tells Joey what she told Kelsey the night before. She realizes it’s not her…So I guess technically that’s TWO things that have never happened before. 1) The Final 2 girl going to the final girl’s room and basically conceding she won, and, 2) The Final 2 girl knowing she lost heading into final rose ceremony and tells him that before he has a chance to dump her.” As for Joey’s emotional chat with producers, Reality Steve said the Season 28 lead likely just needed to take a breather because he wasn’t expecting Daisy’s speech.

  2. A Telling Jason Tartick Slip Up?

If you’re dealing with Reality Steve trust issues and want some additional signs that Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei are endgame, the call is coming from inside the franchise! As noted in a previous piece, it seems franchise alum Jason Tartick accidentally spilled the beans about Joey’s final rose recipient on a recent episode of his Trading Secrets podcast.

At the end of a recent episode, Tartick took time to tease upcoming podcast guests, telling listeners that he’d be interviewing Joey and his Top 3 contestant Kelsey Anderson. As Bachelor fans noticed the slip-up and broke into a social media frenzy, it appears Tartick and his team noticed the oversight, edited that portion of the podcast out, and reposted the episode with the damning detail removed. Unfortunately for Tartick, the sound bite was already recorded and posted on Reddit, where it lives on in all of its spoilery glory.

Following the slip up, fellow franchise alum and current Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams seemingly poked fun at Tartick by posting a video to Instagram captioned, “You’re never going to believe who Joey Graziadei ends up with!” As Wells and Joey walk together on a golf course, Wells says, “I’m out here on the course with, uh…Joseph. And he just told me who he chose, you’re never gonna believe it —.” Before he finishes his sentences, Joey says “STOP!” and the video cuts off, toying with Bachelor Nation’s emotions once more. If you’re keeping score, that’s two spoilers in favor or Kelsey.

  3. The Fantasy Suite Week Rose Theory

After The Bachelor producers did Bachelor Nation (and Joey!) dirty by making Kelsey’s “we need to talk” note out to be a game-changing negative — when in fact, she just wanted to emphasize how much she likes him — it seemed like the stunt weighed on Joey and impacted his rose ceremony decision. The episode showed him handing the first rose to Daisy, then debating a bit before giving the final rose to Kelsey. Eagle-eyed viewers like @MartinaBretous noticed that the final episode edit seems to have swapped the order of the stems, though. If you look closely, when Joey gives Kelsey her rose you can see the red of another rose still sitting on the podium, which suggests Kelsey actually received the first rose, but that didn’t fit the dramatic narrative the episode was crafting. “Producers are def trying to take us off the scent,” Bretous wrote. More evidence that supports a potential Kelsey win!

  4. The Happy Couple House Theory

In the final — and one of the most compelling — theories, Joey and Kelsey told on themselves, either accidentally or as a way to move the spotlight from Daisy to Kelsey following Reality Steve’s incorrect spoiler. (The latter feels less likely in a way, because a surprise ending for a franchise that’s regularly spoiled ahead of time would make truly excellent TV.)

After each season of the show, couples are able to privately spend time together away from the public eye in a safe house or “Happy Couple House” until the finale airs. Usually, the public has no idea what goes down during these meetups unless producers give us a peek for whatever reason, but Season 28 fans who were closely monitoring Joey and his contestants’ social media accounts started to notice similar backdrops in Joey and Kelsey’s Instagram Stories and TikToks — almost like they were sharing a Happy Couple House.

In the post above, you can see careful analysis and comparison of a wine fridge, backyard fence, bedroom rug, wires, shrubs, and even wall sockets found in Joey and Kelsey’s social posts. The spoilers even caught the attention of Reality Steve, who weighed in on the theory, saying, “I have absolutely no problem eating crow and telling the person online who goes by ‘sandbetweenhertoes,’ that she absolutely nailed the video of Kelsey in the backyard of a Happy Couple house 2 weekends ago. When those pics were sent to me, I was about 98% sure the spoiler was wrong. Why? Because Kelsey and Joey being at the same Happy Couple house on the same weekend is about as hard of evidence you can get. Hell, for ANY season if you can determine who is at the Happy Couple house, you’ve got your winner. Because Joey wouldn’t have been at a Happy Couple weekend with Kelsey if he was engaged to Daisy.”

Just to recap, four out of four spoilers support a Joey and Kelsey win, but rumors are only rumors until proven otherwise. Ultimately, we’ll have to tune into The Bachelor Season 28 finale on Monday, March 22 to see what goes down.
