Deal or No Deal Island is the surprise hit of the spring! After just four episodes, the game show/reality competition hybrid has reached nearly 24 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and other digital platforms. Hosted by Joe Manganiello and executive produced by Howie Mandel, the show combines the game of Deal Or No Deal with Survivor-esque challenges/excursions and living conditions. To liven up the proceedings, reality TV vets Claudia Jordan and “Boston Rob” Mariano are among the contestants completing for a prize pot that could potentially climb up to $200 million dollars. Now, that’s the some serious change!

Anyone who has watched one second of his time of Survivor knows that Boston Rob is a master strategist and shrewd gamer. Immediately, Boston Rob sized up meek tax accountant and fellow Bostonian Aron Barbell as his strongest potential ally. Together, the two have masterfully navigated the challenges and successfully won their individual games against the infamous Banker to add the show’s overall prize pot. However, after Barbell was deemed the “most trustworthy” by his fellow contestant at the end of last week’s episode, Manganiello revealed to Barbell that his fate would be determined at the next excursion.

In this clip for tonight’s all-new episode, we get a sneak peek at what advantage (or disadvantage) Barbell receives: access to the Banker’s ledger! The Banker’s ledger lists all the cash values assigned to the briefcases scattered around for the contestants’ latest challenge. The clip begins with Boston Rob running up to Barbell with a briefcase under his arm. As the two greet each other with big smiles, Barbell asks him, “what number you got?’ Not one to mince words when money’s on the line, Boston Rob cuts right the chase. “Never mind that,” says Boston Rob, “where’s the good case?” Shocked by his shortness, Barbell consults his ledger. “What’s the top case?” asks Boston Ron. “The top cases aren’t gonna help you,” says Barbell.

“I need to get as safe as I can because they are gunning for me,” says Boston Rob simply. “I can’t guarantee anyone’s safety,” replies Barbell. “The only person I can get immunity for is me and even then, it depends on what cases people get,” explains Barbell. “There are cases that will keep me safe and no one else safe.” “If they don’t get those cases, then I’m done,” finishes Barbell. Digesting what he’s just heard, Boston Rob repeats back to Barbell: “So you need to have the right cases for you to get immunity.”

“Correct, that’s the honest truth,” confirms Barbell. “So who are you putting in the bottom?” asks Boston Rob. “Alyssa and Miranda,” says Barbell. “I don’t trust Miranda,” says Boston Rob. “Should I go in the bottom against Alyssa?” “If it’s you next to Alyssa, I’m putting you up,” says Barbell. The camera then cuts to a betrayed Boston Rob in his confessional. “He’s more willing to protect Alyssa than he is me,” says Boston Rob incredulously. “This is too much. This is the kid I brought along the whole time.” Tune in tonight at 10/9c on NBC to find out what happens next!
