Your wish is granted, Disney fans. The animated movie is finally on its way to Disney+, and we have you covered on how to watch the new family favorite.
From the creators of classics such as Frozen and Moana, Disney’s newest animated movie Wish first premiered in theaters on November 22, 2023.
The movie follows 17-year-old Asha, who makes a powerful wish and is granted help from a magical star that helps her defeat her kingdom’s evil king and save her community.
Although Wish had a disappointing box office, earning only $31.7 million in its first five days, per Variety, the movie was recognized as the Best Animated Feature Film at the 2024 Golden Globes.
With its release on Disney+ next week, it’s possible Wish could have a fresh surge in popularity.
So, where can you watch Wish? Here’s everything we know about the movie’s streaming availability.
Where to watch Wish on digital:
Wish is currently available to buy and rent digitally on YouTube and Google Play Movies & TV for $19.99. You can also stream the animated film on subscription services including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. Thankfully, all three streaming services offer a free trial, ranging from 7 to 30 days depending on the platform.
Wish is also available for purchase on DVD/Blu-Ray as of March 12.
When will Wish be streaming on Disney+?
Wish will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning on Wednesday, April 3. The movie is hitting streaming over four months after its release in theaters last November.
With no expiration date, Disney fans can watch Wish from the comfort of their homes for the foreseeable future.
How to stream Wish on Disney+:
To stream Wish on the streamer, you will have to subscribe to Disney+, which costs $7.99/month for the basic plan (with ads) and $13.99/month for the premium plan (without ads). Unfortunately, Disney+ does not currently offer a free trial. However, you can still save money by bundling the platform with other subscriptions like ESPN+ and Hulu.
