It looks like Ariana Madix is adding another gig to her resume. According to a new TMZ report, the Vanderpump Rules star has been tapped to replace Sarah Hyland as host of Love Island USA on Peacock.

Hyland, who hosted the dating reality series for the last two seasons, confirmed her exit in a statement posted on her Instagram Story.

“I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer,” she wrote. “I have committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for LOVE ISLAND USA.”

Hyland added, “While I’m sad I can’t return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season!”

Madix officially confirmed in an Instagram post that she would be taking over as host of Love Island USA next season. “I can’t wait to stir up trouble in paradise,” she says in the video.

This wouldn’t be the first time Madix has entered the Love Island USA villa. Not long after news broke that Tom Sandoval had been cheating on her with their mutual friend and co-star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, the reality star booked a cameo on the show’s fifth season in which she hosted a round of a game called “Mr. and Mrs.”

In a July 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, Madix said she was “over the moon” when she was asked to appear on the hit show.

“I have seen every episode of every iteration of Love Island and it is my favorite show,” she told the outlet. “Most of my friends are well aware of my obsession and were just as excited as I am for me to be able to live my dream.”

Madix’s new hosting gig on Love Island USA comes amid a busy year for her. Aside from sweeping up a ton of brand deals in light of her highly publicized breakup, she also competed (and killed it) on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars, where she came in third place. Plus, she’s currently starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. The show has even seen record ticket sales since she joined in January.

This article was updated to include Madix’s confirmation that she will be hosting the next season of Love Island USA.
