Is Yellowstone on Paramount Network Tonight (March 31)?

If you tune into Paramount Network on Sunday, March 31, you’ll be treated to a mini Yellowstone marathon with reruns of Season 4, Episode 9 to Season 5, Episode 8 airing from 9:00 a.m. ET to 10:00 p.m. ET. Sadly, there’s no new episode of Yellowstone on Paramount Network tonight. An episode of Bar Rescue will be on instead.

When Does Yellowstone Return With New Episodes?

Currently, Yellowstone is set to return at an unspecified date in November 2024 on Paramount Network, but with such a massive delay and so many moving parts, that can always change. A new Puck report alleges that “the final episodes” of Part 2 of are “already written,” with filming slated to begin “in a few weeks,” so at least that’s a promising sign!

Is Kevin Costner Leaving Yellowstone?

As noted in a previous piece, following Yellowstone Season 5, Part 1, explosive reports suggested there was bad blood between Sheridan and Yellowstone star and executive producer Costner. In May 2023, fans learned that Costner would be leaving the Yellowstone franchise after Season 5, then subsequent reports alleged Costner wouldn’t return until he approved of how his character John Dutton would be written off. In June 2023, Sheridan told The Hollywood Reporter that he was “disappointed” by Costner’s exit, which “truncates” his character arc, but he also assured fans, “I don’t do fuck-you car crashes… Whether [Dutton’s fate] inflates [Costner’s] ego or insults is collateral damage that I don’t factor in with regard to storytelling.”

Heading into Season 5, Part 2, Costner’s level of involvement remains unclear. Per People, when asked if he will be receiving his salary for the second half of Season 5, Costner detailed struggles experienced while negotiating, saying, “I will probably go to court over it.”

On one hand, the previously referenced report from Puck‘s Matthew Belloni said Costner is allegedly “telling people he’s planning to return for at least a cameo and possibly more,” but it also says “no discussions” have taken place with respect to Costner’s return. So time will tell!

Will Yellowstone Have A Season 6?

In May 2023, it was confirmed that Yellowstone Season 5 would be the show’s final season, which means Season 6 isn’t a go. 

As a reminder, two new Yellowstone spinoffs — currently titled 1944 and 2024 — are also in the works, so you won’t be completely cut off from the world. Though specific plot details for 1944 or 2024 have yet to be released, Variety reports that 2024 is expected to begin airing after Yellowstone ends, and the show will allegedly feature “new cast members and locations with some crossover characters as well.” This is the series that may include Matthew McConaughey, who’s been rumored to star in a Yellowstone spinoff since April 2023.

When Does Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga Premiere In Theaters?

As promised, we also have info on Costner’s upcoming multi-part Western movie Horizon: An American Saga, which he starred in, directed, co-wrote, and produced. Curious when you can see Horizon on the big screen? Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 28, and Part 2 will premiere on August 16.
