With only 5 contestants left in the game, Deal Or No Deal Island is getting down to the nitty gritty. After Nick Grasso’s shocking exit in last week’s episode, the two alliances—the Night Owls (Stephanie Mitchell and Amy McCoy) and the Rob Mob (Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano and Aron Barbell)—are back to even numbers with Jordan Fowler left floating in the middle. Stephanie and Amy have made no secret of their disdain for the charismatic reality vet Boston Rob and have been working hard to plant seeds of doubt in the mind of his closest ally, Aron. Could the Survivor alum really be working with the nerdy accountant? Or is Boston Rob just manipulating Aron for his own ends? In this exclusive clip for tonight’s episode, Stephanie makes her opinion known once again, but has she successfully swayed Aron?

The preview begins in the middle of Aron’s defense of his decision to grab the $4M briefcase instead of the $3.5M briefcase as Boston Rob had initially asked. “If Rob had gone up, he may have gotten me anyways,” Aron explains to host Joe Manganiello. Genuinely confused, Boston Rob asks: “What do you mean, ‘gotten you?'” Caught off-guard by his question, Aron stammers a response. “I freaked and should have gotten that case,” Aron admits, gesturing to Stephanie’s $3.5M briefcase, “but I felt a little afraid of the power.” “What’s wrong with choosing the $4M,” asks Lauren from the end of the line. “Less power,” Aron reiterates.

“He’s scared he made a bad decision for Rob because people make him feel like he doesn’t play his own game,” Stephanie chimes in bluntly. Tired of the chatter, Boston Rob weighs in: “It’s a little ironic because the entire agenda is Stephanie telling Aron’‘play your game.'” “Exactly,” Stephanie interrupts smugly. Boston Rob continues: “But what she’s actually trying to do is control his game.” As Stephanie feigns innocence, Aron begins to rub his temples out of frustration.

“Aron and I have worked together from the beginning without any issues,” Boston Rob says truthfully. “You think nobody saw the way you manipulated and controlled Aron?” asks Stephanie pointedly. “Please stop, not that nonsense again,” says Boston Rob dismissively. Finally, Aron speaks up. “I do think that’s a wrong theory,” says Aron of Stephanie’s accusation. “I play my own game and I play my game well.” The camera then cuts to Aron’s confessional. “I know what I can do,” says Aron firmly. “If they think I’m the easily manipulated, weak player, let them think that.” As he gains confidence with every word, Aron says to the camera. “At the end of the day, I’m gonna win.”
