Good news for fans who have also been missing the Covey family: XO, Kitty recently began filming Season 2, meaning fans will finally be getting another dose of Kitty Song Covey and her shenanigans.

According to a recent report from Variety, production is now underway in Seoul.

The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off series was renewed for a new season shortly after Season 1 premiered on Netflix, signaling how much of a hit the show was with fans of the bestselling romance.

Series lead Anna Cathcart will reprise her role as Kitty Song Covey, the resident matchmaker who suddenly begins having romantic problems of her own when she enrolls in the Korea Independent School of Seoul. XO, Kitty cast members Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, and Regan Aliyah will all be returning for Season 2 as well, along with a few other familiar faces.

The show also added three new cast members, per Variety. Actors Audrey Huynh (who some may recognize from the 2019 film Wyrm), Sasha Bhasin (Brave the Dark) and Joshua Lee (Gangnam Project) have all been added to the Season 2 cast.

Huynh was cast in a series regular role as a character named Stella, while Bhasin and Lee were cast in recurring roles.

XO, Kitty Season 1 follows Kitty as she sets out on her own journey for love. In a bid to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend Dae Kim (Choi), Kitty travels halfway across the world to enroll in the Korea Independent School of Seoul, where she learns that love is more complicated than it seems. Spoilers below for Season 1!

Her grand gesture proves futile when she learns that Dae is dating Yuri Han (Kim). As Kitty and Dae sort out their feelings for each other, she slowly realizes that her feelings for Yuri are even more complicated than she expected.

And that’s not all that’s in store for our beloved matchmaker in XO, Kitty Season 2. Kitty may have traveled to Seoul with one match in mind, but Season 1 left off with multiple love interests for her to choose from down the line.

XO, Kitty is a spinoff series written by Jenny Han, the author behind To All The Boys, all of which have been adapted for Netflix. Han is also the author and creator behind Prime Video’s YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty.

There is still time to catch up. XO, Kitty is streaming now on Netflix.
