After stealing the show at Sunday night’s (May 5) The Roast of Tom Brady, comedian Nikki Glaser is dishing on the experience — including what viewers didn’t see.

Glaser sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night (May 7), where she revealed the one topic she knew she couldn’t joke about at the roast.

While she was surprised by how Brady went after Kim Kardashian — whom Glaser “thought was kind of off-limits” — she also told Kimmel she felt she couldn’t joke about how Brady kisses his children on the lips.

“I didn’t even know we could really go there, because I was like, I’m not going to do any jokes related to his kids, especially the kiss moment, that I didn’t think was weird,” she said. “My dad kissed me on the lips as a kid. Well into my, like, 20’s. It was a problem.”

Glaser, who was ultimately a fan favorite on the NFL star’s special, had iterated this on Monday’s (May 6) installment of The Howard Stern Show, telling Howard Stern that they “all collectively just decided not to involve his kids too much in anything,” per Fox News.

“I couldn’t say, ‘Tom, hopefully we make out at the after-party. You can pretend I’m your son.’ You know, like the reference to him kissing his son,” she said. “My dad kissed me on the lips as a kid and throughout my adulthood, so I really related to that and never judged it any way, other than I thought it was a cute moment that we all took too seriously.”

Glaser also told Kimmel that during “the rest of the roast [she] got called some pretty awful things,” adding, “It makes you question your life and your looks and all that stuff.”

When Kimmel asked, “Does it though? Does it really?” Glaser said that “it does sink in,” and questioned Kimmel as to whether he has felt similarly while taking part in a roast.

Kimmel replied, “No. Well, a little bit I guess. I don’t know.”

He noted that Glaser often gets targeted with “the dumbest jokes” about her “sex life,” which he said “seems very outdated.” While Glaser agreed that “it does” seem outdated, she added, “It’s nice though because you go, ‘Oh, they’re not coming after anything else, and it’s just I’m one of the only women on here.’”

“In fact, I was one of two women on the dais,” she continued. “Backstage, our room — literally everyone’s rooms have their name on them — ours just said ‘female’ on it. I literally think it was just the bathroom. Like they were just [like], ‘That’s fine. Women.’ Yeah, so, it was an intimidating thing to walk into.”

Glaser said that she “fed into that by throwing [her]self at Tom Brady” during her set, which Kimmel said was only natural.

“I don’t think you can help but throw yourself at Tom Brady,” he teased. “When Tom Brady was here, I was throwing myself at Tom Brady.”

The Roast of Tom Brady is streaming on Netflix. Glaser’s upcoming HBO special, Someday You’ll Die, is out on Max on Saturday, May 11.
